Ganga Sharan Singh / A great Littérateur and Nationalist

Born in the Zamindar Family of village Kanchanpur (Bihta) , Patna District. He was a great Littérateur and Nationalist. He was a member of Rajya Sabha from 1956 to 1974. He was elected to the upper house too later. He was also the Chairman of PSP from 1956—59. He was close to Jai Prakash Narayan as well as Mrs Indira Gandhi . He tried his best to make these two leaders close to each other but was suspected by both . Pupul Jaykar wrote about him in a book 'Indira Gandhi'.
