Late Smt.Tarkeshwari Sinha, MP(LokSabha ,1952-1971,Badh,Bihar) was a frontline Parliamentarian who left no oppourtunity to raise voice of people in the house.She was an orator .She served in Pt. Nehru Cabinet as Deputy Finance Minister for several years.we remember great leader these days when Parliamentary democracy is under danger.we salute her for contributions to Indian politics.

ONCE CALLED AS A GLAMOUR GIRL OF THE INDIAN PARLIAMENT ,WAS A VERY FINE ORATOR ALSO .
According to "THE WEEK"published few yrs back ,the special issue "TEN MYTH S OF INDIAN POLITICAL SCENE",Gulzar saheb had stated that the subject of his controversial film AANDHI"'was taken on the life of Tarkeshwari ji ,his Husband was a business man and not on Smt .Gandhi .But due to the some scene in it ,it became famous for Smt. Gandhi and was subsequently banned during the EMERGENCY.

पटना विश्व विद्यालय में हमलोगों ने 1970 में उनका भाषण करवाया ।बहुत रोचक एवं रोमांटिक व्यक्तित्व एवं वक्ता थी।मेरी आयु उस वक्त 17 वसंत पार थी।किसी रोचक क्षण में उन्होंने मेरा सर सहला दिया।आज भी यादगार है।

इनकी यह भी खासियत मैंने देखा है कि चुहानी में घुस के महिलाओं से बातें करती थीं। जब हम मिडिल स्कूल में पढ़ते थे तो वो बाढ़ संसदीय क्षेत्र से और सरस्वती चौधरी पुनपुन विधान सभा क्षेत्र की उम्मीद्वार थीं।ये मेंरे घर भी आई थीं। स्वभावशील थीं !जमाने के हिसाब से इनके प्रति मेंरा भी सम्मान है।

I recall she addressed our Planning forum in central hall of L S College in 1961. I alongwith seniors went to receive her at Chakkar Maidan where she arrived. Her appearance was like an actress. Dr R.B.Singh then HOD Economics, welcomed her with B.N.Singh then Principal presided the function ! Memorable event never to forget !

SHRIMATI TARKESWARIJI was a born leader, the present political learners are minion in every measure or standards.

She had a great aesthetic sense and she had created a lovely garden in her house at 14 Rajendra Prasad Road in New Delhi.
